Ankle Arthroscopy and Ligament Reconstruction (including Peroneal Endoscopy)

Minimally Invasive Joint Visualization: Ankle arthroscopy uses a small camera and instruments to treat joint injuries, such as cartilage damage or loose bodies, while minimizing soft tissue disruption.

Advanced Ligament Stabilization: Ligament reconstruction repairs or reinforces damaged lateral ankle ligaments, often addressing chronic instability. Peroneal endoscopy can also identify and treat tendon injuries or inflammation.

Enhanced Recovery and Functionality: This combined procedure helps restore ankle stability and functionality, reducing the risk of future injuries and allowing patients to return to sports or physical activities more confidently.

Subtalar Fusion with Bone Graft

Comprehensive Arthritis Management: Subtalar fusion is performed to relieve severe pain from arthritis or deformities in the subtalar joint, typically resulting from trauma, flatfoot, or inflammatory diseases.

Bone Grafting for Fusion Success: Autografts (from the patient’s body) or allografts (donor tissue) enhance fusion success by promoting new bone growth and providing structural support.

Improved Long-Term Outcomes: This procedure results in a pain-free and stable hindfoot, enabling patients to walk comfortably on uneven surfaces while maintaining overall foot alignment.

Medicolegal Report

Comprehensive Injury Assessments:
Dr. Edwards conducts detailed evaluations of foot and ankle injuries, considering the patient’s medical history, physical examination findings, and any relevant radiology or previous treatment outcomes.

Impartial and Evidence-Based Reporting:
These reports include diagnoses, prognoses, and recommendations for future treatment while adhering to the Expert Witness Code of Conduct and Civil Procedure Act to ensure accuracy and impartiality.

Impact Analysis on Daily Life and Work:
The reports assess how the injury affects the patient’s functionality, quality of life, and ability to perform daily activities or return to work, supporting legal cases with precise and clear documentation.

Ankle Fusion with Bone Graft and Achilles Lengthening

Effective Solution for Severe Arthritis: Ankle fusion is considered the gold standard for end-stage arthritis or irreparable damage, providing lasting pain relief by creating a single, solid bone between the tibia and talus.

Enhanced Fusion with Bone Grafting: Bone grafts ensure proper bone healing, increase stability, and reduce the risk of nonunion, especially in complex or revision cases.

Achilles Lengthening for Mobility: Lengthening the Achilles tendon reduces tension on the joint, improving foot positioning and enabling patients to walk more comfortably post-surgery.

Experience the difference. Mr. Edwards: Exceptional care, clear communication, successful outcomes.

Delivering personalized treatment and comprehensive medicolegal assessments with a commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.
